The 1916 Easter Rising

Children learned about the 1916 Rising. We read the novel 'The Guns of Easter' in English and completed projects on the events and influential leaders of the Rising. 

Bricks4Kidz

Children participated in Bricks4Kidz workshops, to celebrate Engineers Week.

Hurling Sessions

5th Class took part in hurling for 5 weeks, on the lead up to Easter! 

Internet Safety Week

We learned how to stay safe online and attended a talk from Zeeko. 

Spring Art in 5th Class!

Inspiring Irish People

We learned about modern Irish influencers in SESE, including the Collison Brothers and Sinéad Burke. Pupils then researched their own inspiring Irish people and wrote about them in English.

The Wild Atlantic Way

We learned about the Wild Atlantic Way in Geography. Pupils used iPads to research tourist attractions along the route. We made our own models of the Cliffs of Moher, using paper mache.

Cooking in 5th Class

We made vegetable soup, while studying the Food Pyramid. We also made butter to enjoy soda bread with our soup!

Winter Art

Pupils created their own winter art, inspired by the Northern Lights!
