We learned about the Wild Atlantic Way in Geography. Pupils used iPads to research tourist attractions along the route.
Cooking in 5th Class
We made vegetable soup, while studying the Food Pyramid. We also made butter to enjoy soda bread with our soup!

5th Class had great fun exploring some Black Friday deals for Maths.
The Famine
Pupils in 5th Class learned about the Famine in SESE. They carried out their own research and presented Famine projects to their peers. They wrote their own narratives based on the Famine, inspired by their class novel 'Under the Hawthorn Tree'.

Presidential Election 2025
We carried out project work
on the Presidents of Ireland. We researched our previous Presidents and also
looked at this years presidential candidates. Pupils participated in their own opinion poll in advance of this year’s election!
The Long Walk
As part of our theme of 'Homes', we recreated an image of the Long Walk in Art.
SESE
We learned about 'Homes' in September. We designed our own floor plans of our dream bungalow. We added in our own unique features, including bowling alleys, astro turfs and cinema rooms! We asked ChatGPT to generate a realistic 3D style view of our floor plans.
